Garland Leisure acquires Accrington tenpin bowling centre in expansion plan - now 32 Centres
3rd September Press Release
Fast expanding UK leisure owner-operator, Garland Leisure Ltd has acquired its 32nd tenpin bowling outlet at Accrington. Edward Symmons LLP acted for the purchaser in the acquisition, and reports that three further deals are in solicitors’ hands. The fast expanding operator has taken a new 25 year lease at Accrington Superbowl, where landlord Globe Enterprises Ltd has granted a new 25 year lease . The centre will be refurbished over the next few weeks and is expected to reopen on 13th September 2012 under the 1st Bowl brand.
Colin White, Partner in the hospitality and leisure team at Edward Symmons LLP, which acts on behalf of Garland Leisure comments: “The centre forming part of a leisure park with an 8 screen Vue cinema on the site should perform well under the First Bowl brand and being just 10 years old will provide an ideal centre to add to their existing portfolio. Garland remain hungry for more deals with more to be announced very shortly."
